Understanding Quantum Computing

Quantum computing allows units of data to be stored more efficiently than traditional bits by using quantum bits (or qubits,) which are created by controlling quantum particles. Qubits can be present in different quantities simultaneously, and also use quantum entanglement — when particles are linked and act in sync no matter their distance. Quantum computers’ power is so much greater than traditional supercomputers that they can make calculations that would take a traditional computer thousands of years, if they could solve them at all.
